• Clean your knives after every use and make sure to dry them thoroughly before storing them.
• Store them seperately from other cutlery and utensils. Keeping your sharp knives in the same drawer where you store your other utensils may damage the cutting edge of your knife. There are drawer inserts available that can protect your sharp knives from unintentional damage.
• Sharpen your knives properly. Get them sharpened by a professional sharpening service to maintain the sharpness of your knives.
• Use a timber or "plastic" cutting board, never use stone or glass cutting boards as these blunten your knives very quickly.
